How do you test resistance?
We test the aging of our hiking fleeces to ensure their resistance. We guarantee: - resistance to abrasion from backpacks and moving arms, to delay the appearance of pilling - the strength of the seams - the resistance of the fleece material after washing - the color retention after washing, against UV rays or even in contact with perspiration
Where do our fleeces come from?
Created in our international design center at the foot of Mont Blanc, France, this fleece is then manufactured by our suppliers in Vietnam, India, and Bangladesh. These partners possess real expertise in the manufacture of our fleeces and with whom we work closely. This relationship of trust with our industrial partners allows us to create high-quality technical products.
Working conditions in our production workshops
We guarantee compliance with our code of conduct by our suppliers, who are often located in developing countries where our presence promotes job creation. Through audits and on-site teams, we ensure that employees benefit from a quality work environment based on respect, personal development, and environmental protection.
Cut
This fleece jacket has a fitted cut, without being too tight. We recommend wearing a technical base layer underneath, in direct contact with your skin, for better protection from the cold. It has also been designed to be worn under our windproof/waterproof jackets, such as the women's MH100 jacket. You can choose your usual size.
How is heat measured?
2 types of tests are carried out to measure the warmth level of our fleeces: - a material test - a test on a thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber. We reproduce the temperature, wind (5km/h) and humidity conditions that you encounter in the mountains during a 5km/h walk. These tests allow us to validate our design choices, and everything is validated by testers in the field. This fleece has a comfort temperature between 7 and 10°C (without a jacket over it).
How does the material insulate from the cold?
The fleece component's mission is to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture (described as "brushed fleece" when it is made of loops); this air keeps the body warm thanks to its natural insulating power.
