Cut
A fitted cut with raglan sleeves allows for good stretch and greater freedom of movement during your hike. A warm layer, such as a fleece or a lightweight down jacket, can be worn underneath.
Membranes
A product's waterproofness depends on two main criteria: its component and its construction. This product was constructed with a membrane. It's a type of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being flexible, lightweight, and breathable.
Component waterproofing
To ensure the waterproofing level of a component, laboratory tests are performed. This involves measuring a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (JIS 1092 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This component has a waterproof rating of 20000 mm and therefore withstands the pressure exerted by 20000 mm of water column. This is also equivalent to 20000 Schmerbers.

Layered construction
3-layer construction: The membrane is bonded between the outer fabric and the inner fabric. We use it for durable and high-performance jackets.
Waterproofness of the jacket
To ensure the jacket's waterproofing level, we conduct laboratory tests to simulate rain scenarios. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 18 cm of rain in 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain storm.
Breathability
The breathability of a component is measured by its “Thermal Evaporative Resistance” (RET). This is its ability to allow water vapor produced by the body during exercise to escape to the outside and thus prevent water from accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET value, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric This product has been rated at 6 RET
How to reactivate deperlence
The water repellency of a fabric is its ability to let water slide off its surface without absorbing it. The textile does not become waterlogged and remains light and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. Water repellency can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the dryer for 10 minutes at a low temperature. You can also use the re-waterproofing agent (ref. 8554908)
