      Product Description:

This waterproof hiking jacket has been designed to protect you from the elements during your regular mountain hikes.

Breathable and lightweight, it's the perfect companion for your hikes. Its 29 cm side vents and highly breathable fabric (RET=6) wick away perspiration.

      Product information

This waterproof hiking jacket has been designed to protect you from the elements during your regular mountain hikes.

What is the level of waterproofing?

With its 20,000 H2O Schmerber waterproof rating, this jacket offers ideal protection against changing weather conditions! Rigorously tested in the laboratory, it withstands 18 cm of rain in 2 hours, reproducing the conditions of an average mountain thunderstorm.

What are the benefits of a breathable jacket?

Unlike traditional waterproof jackets, this jacket truly breathes thanks to its highly breathable fabric (RET=6) and large side vents. The result? You avoid condensation inside the jacket and stay dry both inside and out during your climbs!

      Any information about the cup?

A fitted cut with raglan sleeves for maximum stretch! This design allows for complete freedom of movement during your mountain hikes. You can easily wear a fleece or lightweight down jacket underneath, depending on the conditions and altitude.

      A special hood

This hood is precisely adjustable in height thanks to its elastic drawstring and tightening piece, while its semi-rigid visor provides effective protection. Its best feature? A triangular side vent that enhances your peripheral vision.

      Why a membrane component?

This jacket features an ultra-thin polyurethane film sandwiched between the inner and outer layers. It blocks external water while wicking away perspiration. Flexible, lightweight, and breathable, this membrane ensures long-lasting performance and durability for your mountain adventures.

      How is impermeability measured?

Waterproofing is measured in the laboratory according to the JIS 1092 standard. The fabric's resistance to water pressure is tested, expressed in millimeters of water column: the higher the value, the better! With a rating of 20,000 mm (or Schmerbers), this jacket can withstand the pressure of a 20-meter water column!

      What is the RET index?

Thermal Evaporative Resistance (RET) measures a fabric's ability to wick away body moisture. The lower the RET, the better! With RET=6, this jacket offers exceptional moisture wicking. Scale: <6 = extreme, <12 = very breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.

      How to reactivate water repellency?

Two simple methods to revive water repellency! This ability of the fabric to make water bead and roll off without absorbing it maintains lightness and breathability. Tumble dry your jacket for 10 minutes on a low heat setting.

      HOW TO REACTIVATE WATER REPELLENCE

The water repellency of a fabric is its ability to allow water to slide off its surface without absorbing it. The textile does not become waterlogged and remains light and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. Water repellency can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the dryer for 10 minutes at a low temperature. You can also use the re-waterproofing agent (ref. 8554908)
