Your jacket is waterproof thanks to a special treatment applied to the fabric. This protection withstands 5000 mm of water, which is like having a 5-meter column of water above it! In practical terms, this means you'll stay dry during a moderate downpour lasting about an hour.
Breathable fabric wicks away perspiration during exercise. This ability is measured by the RET index: the lower the number, the better! Your jacket has a RET rating of 12, which is considered "breathable." The result? You stay dry inside and out!
This jacket is perfect for leisurely hikes: 2 hours maximum, moderate pace (5 km/h), flat terrain. Why this detail? The more you sweat, the more the fabric needs to breathe! Otherwise, your perspiration gets trapped and you stay damp from the inside.
To keep your waterproof jacket looking its best for longer, reactivate its protective coating every 3 washes or after 10 outings in the rain. It's simple: 15 minutes in the dryer (synthetic cycle) or a quick blast with a hairdryer held 20 cm away. Your jacket will be fully effective again!
To keep your jacket effective against the rain, reactivate its protection every 3 washes with a good rinse, or after 10 rainy outings. It's easy: 15 minutes in the tumble dryer, a quick blast with a hairdryer held 20 cm away, or a low-temperature iron without steam.
We recommend the waterproof Raincut overtrousers to also protect your lower body. This way, you will have a complete set of protection that is very effective against wind and showers.
The fabric of this jacket is breathable: RET=12. The breathability of a component is measured by its “Thermal Evaporative Resistance” (RET). This is its ability to allow water vapor produced by the body during exercise to escape to the outside and thus prevent water from accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET value, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric
This rain jacket is designed for a 2-hour hike at a maximum pace of 5 km/h, without elevation gain. During physical exertion, we sweat more or less depending on the intensity or length of the effort. If the breathability of the fabric is not adapted to the effort, the perspiration vapor condenses inside the jacket. We are wet inside: it is not the rain that penetrates, but the perspiration vapor that condenses. You must choose your rain jacket according to your type of exercise.
We recommend the Raincut waterproof overpants to also protect your lower body. This will give you a complete set of highly effective protection against wind and rain. And best of all, the overpants also benefit from an eco-design approach, with the mass-dyeing process.

Nothing to say, good value for money
The rain windbreaker is good overall but waterproof levels it absorbs water quickly and the condensation remains which is why I have to put a poncho (rain cape) on top to prevent the water from condensing. very practical in any case for cycling
Protects well from wind and rain.
