This jacket has a fitted cut. Its stretchy fabric allows you to free your movements more during your hike. A warm layer, such as a fleece or a light down jacket can be worn underneath. You can choose your usual size, or a size above if you don't want to wear it fitted.

This jacket is constructed with 3 layers, the best protection on the market: the membrane is glued between the inner layer and the outer layer of the component (hence the name 3-layer component). The membrane is a kind of film made of very fine Polyurethane, which makes the component waterproof, while remaining breathable. It is protected by a knit, and has the advantage of being more flexible, lighter, more resistant and often more breathable than a simple coating.

This jacket has watertight bands (to guarantee perfect waterproofing) which are sensitive to machine washing and can come off over time. We therefore recommend favoring a sponge with water to clean any traces on your jacket, and washing it only very rarely in the machine at 30°C, if you want it to accompany you as long as possible in hiking.

Impermeability is measured by the resistance of a fabric to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (JIS 1092 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is impermeable. The component of this product has a waterproofness of 20 mm and therefore resists the pressure exerted by 000 mm of water column. This is also equivalent to 20 Schmerbers.

The breathability of a component is measured by its “Thermal Evaporative Resistance” (RET). accumulation of water on the skin. The lower the RET value, the more breathable the fabric.
