What is the level of waterproofing?

Reliable protection with its 20,000 mm H2O Schmerber waterproof rating! This jacket uses an effective 3-layer membrane, taped seams, and protected zippers to create a solid barrier against the elements. You'll stay comfortably dry even in heavy rain.

A very breathable jacket

The challenge of waterproof jackets? Keeping water out while wicking away moisture from the inside! This jacket solves this complex equation thanks to its highly breathable fabric (RET=6) combined with large side vents. The result: maximum moisture wicking for optimal comfort.

Anything to say about the cup?

A fitted cut with 13% elastane and raglan sleeves that extend to the neckline for added stretch. This design allows for unrestricted movement while hiking. It can be layered under a fleece or lightweight down jacket. Tip: Order your usual size for a fitted cut, or one size up for a looser fit.

The extra feature of the hood

The attached hood is adjustable in height and depth thanks to an elastic drawstring. The rigid visor offers maximum facial protection. The small detail that makes all the difference: a triangular opening on the side for better peripheral vision.

What is Schmerber?

The Schmerber index measures a fabric's resistance to water pressure: the higher the value, the better the waterproofing! At 20,000 mm H2O, this jacket can withstand the equivalent of a 20-meter water column. In practical terms? You can stay dry even in heavy rain.

Why a 3-layer component?

The 3-layer construction incorporates an ultra-thin polyurethane membrane between the inner and outer layers. Protected by a knit fabric, it guarantees optimal waterproofing and breathability while being more flexible and lighter than a conventional coating.

What is the RET index?

The RET rating reveals a fabric's breathability, its ability to naturally wick away perspiration. The golden rule? The lower the number, the better the performance! Our RET rating of 6 places this jacket at the top of the scale: <6 = extreme, <12 = very breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.

How to maintain water repellency?

Water repellency allows water to bead and roll off the fabric without being absorbed. This external treatment deteriorates with use, but can be easily reactivated. To do so, tumble dry your jacket for 10 minutes on a low heat setting or use our re-waterproofing spray (ref. 8938490).
