Waterproofness and breathability of the material from a technical point of view
The component's waterproofness is measured by the water column test, also known as the Schmerber test. Our material passes the 5000mm mark. The component's breathability is measured by the coefficient of evaporative resistance, also known as the RET. It is less than 12 for our material, which corresponds to a very breathable material, suitable for moderate exercise.

"After researching waterproofing and the needs of golfers, our design team tested the RW outfit in real-life conditions: "We carried out field tests on a December weekend when it was extremely cold and rainy, with around ten experts. And during the photo shoots, the conditions were even worse. It was in these extreme conditions that we validated this waterproof jacket." Sophie and Ludivine.
Our design team reveals the secrets of a waterproof jacket:
"To design this jacket, we worked with the rain specialists at Decathlon, who shared their expertise with us." Sophie, Product Manager. The result is a waterproof and water-repellent jacket that lets you play in the rain for 4 hours without getting wet thanks to its 3-layer fabric and taped seams and zips.
