All our anti-UV t-shirts are UPF50+, i.e. they have the maximum level of sun protection. The choice will therefore be made on the length of the sleeves and then will depend on the type of stress during practice. It is in the practice of surfing that the constraints are the strongest so we have decided to build our range primarily for surfing. For surfing, the choice will be made according to the duration of your sessions: 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours.

1 hour: Occasional practice. You can choose between a loose fit (priority on ease of donning and comfort when dry) or fitted (priority for comfort when wet). A loop system to connect to the shorts allows the stability of the product. 2 hours: Regular practice. Wet comfort is enhanced thanks to the seamless panels under the arms and the drawstring which further increases stability. 3 hours: Intensive practice. Addition of thermicity to last longer in the water.

The textile that makes up this anti-UV product blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This is the guarantee of effective protection against the sun. It can be used in and out of the water for water and aquatic sports. UV filtration is generated by the density of the textile fibers, this protection is resistant over time, even after washing. Be careful, the elastane contained in the fibers can deteriorate in chlorinated water.

UPF is a sun protection index (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) standardized and standardized worldwide. It defines the level of textile protection and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission. In order to meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB.

This anti-UV t-shirt limits friction and irritation associated with contact with the surfboard or bodyboard. It can also be used under a wetsuit to limit irritation, especially in the neck and armpits. The limitation of irritation linked to rowing movements is validated for one-hour sessions. If you plan to surf for more than an hour, the choice of the UV 500 top will be more suitable thanks to the seamless panels under the arms.

This anti-UV top has a loop at the front to pass the cord of the swim shorts to prevent the top from riding up during practice. This solution is recommended for sessions up to 1 hour. Beyond an hour, we recommend choosing the UV 500 top which also has a drawstring at the hips to ensure better stability. The untimely rise of the top could indeed generate irritation in the lower abdomen.

The recommended minimum water temperature for the use of this anti-UV t-shirt is 22°C. The air temperature can influence this recommendation upwards or downwards. Our thermal models (beyond 2 hours) are made of either fleece or neoprene, or both. The presence of wind will have an impact that can be annoying as soon as the wind exceeds 15 km/h: In this case, choose a model with neoprene.

Our UV tops are designed to meet the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, active walking at sea (long-coast) or SUP (stand-up paddle).

Although this t-shirt provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflection (on water, sand...), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing this t-shirt does not exempt you from following appropriate behavior: wearing sunglasses, wearing a hat or cap, regularly applying suitable sunscreen, drinking regularly, etc.
