What is Minimal Waste?

This is a new manufacturing method designed to reduce fabric waste at the design creation stage. The product is also designed and produced based on the garment pattern and no longer exclusively on the design drawing. Pattern-making considerations are incorporated from the very beginning of the product design process. Care is taken to ensure that the different parts that make up the garment fit together perfectly like a puzzle on the pattern, resulting in minimal waste.

Why make Minimal Waste?

Between 20% and 15% of textiles intended for clothing end up on the cutting room floor during production. When these textiles are wasted, invested natural resources have been "wasted." It is vital to address the source of the problem by maximizing the use of textile materials and generating as little fabric waste as possible during product manufacturing. For this product, we went from 18% to 9% waste.

Product tests

When designing our products, we select fabrics and inks that pose no risk to the little ones, and accessories (buttons, etc.) that cannot be ingested. We make sure that our textile components are not harmful in the event that they are put in the mouth by your child. Beyond the standards, thinking about each element for baby's safety is our priority. These little details make all the difference!

Child development

We design our products with the support of a psychomotrician in order to understand the mechanisms of autonomy in children and the responses to be associated with them through our clothes. "The challenge is that the child does not get discouraged and does not get tired. You have to be able to offer him actions that are within his range of possibilities, to allow him repetition leading him to automation, so that he can generalize the gesture" explains Agathe, our partner psychomotrician
