      Product information

Our team, parents of young hikers, designed these waterproof overpants to protect your child when the rain or wind hits!

      WATERPROOFING OF THE COMPONENT

The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is measured in mm of water column (test based on the JIS 1092 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 l of water / m² / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain downpour. A component with a waterproofness of 5 mm therefore resists the pressure exerted by 000 mm of water (which corresponds roughly to a 5-hour downpour

      COMPONENT BREATHABILITY

The breathability of a component is measured by its “Thermal Evaporative Resistance” (RET). This is its ability to allow water vapor produced by the body during exercise to escape to the outside and thus prevent water from accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET value, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric Our product has 12 of RET

      COMPONENT WATER REPELLENCE

The water repellency of a fabric is its ability to let water slide over its surface without absorbing it. Thus the textile does not soak up water and remains light, breathable and warm. Water repellency is obtained by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend every 3 washes).
