Waterproof, windproof and packable over-glove

Our team, passionate about road cycling, has developed this clever, rainproof and compactable over-glove to allow you to ride in rainy weather.

MATERIAL

This overglove is designed to provide an additional layer of protection to non-waterproof winter gloves, an ideal partner! It allows you to maintain a comfortable level of warmth for longer during a long, rainy or cold outing! Reflective inserts cover the 2 fingers for night visibility. The palm and fingers offer a grip component for holding the handlebars.

WATERPROOFING OF THE OVER-GLOVE

Not only is the fabric important for the waterproofing of the product, but the construction of the overglove is just as important. The component offers water resistance of 15 mm of water pressure before washing. On the long interior seams and the bases between the fingers, we were able to waterproof with heat-sealed waterproof strips. On the finger contours, on the inside, the choice was obvious to use waterproof thread because there is insufficient space to affix waterproof strips.

COMPONENT BREATHABILITY (RET)

To determine whether a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance (RET) is measured (test based on ISO 11092). The lower the resistance, the more water vapor generated by the body during activity is released from the fabric, and the more breathable it is. • RET <6: extremely breathable, suitable for the most intense efforts • RET 6 to 12: very breathable, suitable for moderate efforts • RET 12 to 20: moderately breathable, not comfortable during exercise • RET >20: not very breathable, not suitable for exercise

COMPACT

We wanted to design a smart product that doesn't take up space and provides great value for hand warmth, which is why we included a discreet pocket to fold the pair inside, the whole thing fitting in the palm of the hand once folded. This means it can easily slip into a small bag or pocket.

CUTTING

We chose to offer a 3-finger cut for 2 reasons: - to maximize internal warmth. - to be able to properly seal the product because the design itself makes this operation difficult, which could have affected its quality. - this still allows you to maintain basic dexterity for riding your bike, braking or changing gears.
