The grip of our soles is certified. To benefit from this, the shoe must pass laboratory tests to define the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet). The soles of these sandals have obtained a rating adhesion of 4/5 and are labeled OUTDOORCONTACT©.
Stress tests
Laboratory tests are also carried out to validate the following elements: strap tearing, sticking, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and upper components, accelerated ageing. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our hiking sandals and prevent premature wear.
Our environmental approach | manufacturing technique
Our first sandal designed in Portugal, closer to our European countries. The manufacturing technique uses an environmental approach patented by Decathlon. It uses neither chromium nor heavy metals. The leather is tanned using eucalyptus extracts.

Where does our leather come from?
We use a leather called "nubuck" on the upper. It has a fluffy and silky touch. On the sole under the foot, we use a leather called "leather crust", better suited to resist repeated friction of the foot. The leather of this shoe is of bovine origin. We do not kill animals to obtain this leather: we only use waste from the food industry.
