The volume of each backpack is measured according to a standardized method: we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each of the pockets. We then empty the bales into a graduated container which then gives us the equivalent volume in litres.

Place the heavy equipment in the background. Clothes will be stored around. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece handy. In the pockets, distribute the small equipment of the day (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.). The water bag will be put in the compartment provided along the back and the water bottle in the external water pockets provided for this purpose.

We perform several laboratory tests to validate the components of the bag: fabrics, buckles, straps, foams, zips. For example, for a fabric, we test its resistance to abrasion and tearing, color fastness to UV and washing and its impermeability. We also carry out tests to control the resistance of the assemblies by reproducing in accelerated the stresses of the bag over the years on a dummy reproducing the movement of a hiker.
