The bag's components are water-repellent, allowing you to temporarily continue your walk/hike in a light rain shower. Please note: this backpack is not waterproof and does not come with a rain cover. If you want to continue your walk/hike in rainy weather and protect your belongings, we recommend this model: "20 to 40 liter rain cover", available on our website, reference 8734213.
How to adjust your bag?
- Loosen all straps (shoulder straps, belts, load adjusters), - Put on the bag, - Tighten the shoulder straps, - Adjust the load adjusters to your liking.
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured according to a standardized method: we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each of the pockets. We then empty the bales into a graduated container which then gives us the equivalent volume in litres.
Quechua backpack: 10 years warranty
At Decathlon, all our Quechua backpacks are guaranteed for 10 years excluding normal wear and tear of the product. In the event of a defect, we offer a repair, replacement or refund. The warranty covers components ranging from the zipper to the seams, more information on support.decathlon.fr.
Tested for optimal resistance
We conduct several laboratory tests to validate the bag's components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foams, zippers. For example, for a fabric, we test its resistance to abrasion and tearing, its color fastness to UV and washing, as well as its waterproofness. We also conduct tests to check the resistance of the assemblies by reproducing in accelerated fashion the stresses of the bag over years on a mannequin reproducing the movement of a hiker.
How to fill your backpack?
- Place heavy equipment at the bottom. Clothes will be stored around it; - Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece close at hand; - In the pockets, distribute the small equipment for the day (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.); - The water bottle can be placed in the external side pockets provided for this purpose.
