We conduct several laboratory tests to validate the bag's components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foams, zippers. For example, for a fabric, we test its resistance to abrasion and tearing, its color fastness to UV and washing, and its waterproofness. We also conduct tests to check the strength of the assemblies by reproducing the stresses of the bag over years on a mannequin reproducing the movement of a hiker.

Thanks to all your feedback, we've improved the design of our NH100 10-liter backpack. In this new model, we've added a double zip to the main pocket and a larger pocket bottom to the outer pocket. The goal is to prevent you from losing your belongings when opening your bag. Of course, we haven't increased its price!
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured according to a standardized method: we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each of the pockets. We then empty the bales into a graduated container which then gives us the equivalent volume in litres.
Water Resistant
The bag's components are water-repellent, allowing you to temporarily continue your walk/hike in a light rain shower. Please note: this backpack is not waterproof and does not come with a rain cover. If you want to continue your walk/hike in rainy weather and protect your belongings, we recommend this model: "10 to 20 liter rain cover", available on our website, reference 8772113.
Quechua backpack: 10 years warranty
At Decathlon, all our Quechua backpacks are guaranteed for 10 years excluding normal wear and tear of the product. In the event of a defect, we offer a repair, replacement or refund. The warranty covers components ranging from the zipper to the seams, more information on support.decathlon.fr.
How to fill your backpack?
Place the heavy equipment in the bottom. Clothes will be stored around. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece handy. In the pockets, distribute the small equipment of the day (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.).
