      Product information

Our camper designers designed this Arpenaz 20° sleeping bag to sleep comfortably while camping at temperatures close to 20°C.

      Operating temperature

We display on all our sleeping bags the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to the European standard ISO 23537-1 of 21/01/2017. The comfort temperature is the lower limit of comfort at which a person in a relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a standard woman and under normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this.

What is the comfort limit temperature?

The comfort limit temperature is the limit temperature at which a person in a curled up position in his sleeping bag is globally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a man and under normal conditions of use).

What you need to know about temperatures

A sleeping bag does not produce heat, it retains that produced by the body. If you're exhausted, chilled, and crawl into your icy, damp sleeping bag, you're likely to get cold, no matter how good it is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (height, fatigue, etc.), their equipment (mattress insulating the ground, etc.), their clothing (naked, underwear, etc.), and the climatic conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).

Little tips before slipping into your bag

Dress simply (one layer of clothing is enough). Warm your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers, rubbing, etc. A hot water bottle can be used as a hot water bottle (if there is no risk of it accidentally opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is transformed into heat) but without making any movement that generates a cold draft. To wash your sleeping bag less, we recommend using a sleeping bag liner.

      Composition

Inner and outer fabric: 100% polyester | Padding: 100% polyester wadding 100 g/m².

      Washing your sleeping bag

We advise you to use a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg and to close the zippers of your sleeping bag properly.
