This sleeping bag was designed by our designers who are trekking enthusiasts for comfortable nights in bivouacs at temperatures greater than or equal to 5° C.
We display on all our sleeping bags the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to the European standard ISO 23537-1:2022. The comfort temperature is the lower limit of comfort at which a person in a relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a standard woman and under normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this temperature.
The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person curled up in their sleeping bag is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither cold nor hot (determined for a human under normal conditions of use). We recommend using an insulating mattress to optimize your thermal comfort.
As part of this standard, the protocol for measuring the thermal performance of a sleeping bag uses a mattress with a thermal resistance corresponding to an R-value of 4,8. This means that using a less insulating mattress will reduce the thermal performance of your sleeping bag. We therefore recommend using an insulating mattress to optimize your thermal comfort.
Dress simply (one layer of clothing is enough). Warm your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers, rubbing... A hot water bottle can be used as a hot water bottle (if there is no risk of it accidentally opening!). Contract your muscles (1% of the energy consumed is transformed into heat), but without making any movement that generates a cold draft. Use a sleeping bag liner to optimize warmth and avoid washing your sleeping bag too much.
Generous sarcophagus shape, wide at the shoulders, tightened at the feet to optimize thermal insulation (no heat loss) and compactness, while maintaining relative freedom of movement. Shoulder width 70 cm, height at the feet 32 cm in size L. 62/28 in S, 66/30 in M, 74/34 in XL.
Size S: 980 g, user up to 1m59. Cover dimensions: L 40 cm Ø 17 cm. Volume 9,1 liters. Size M: 1100 g, user between 1m60 and 1m69. Cover dimensions: L 40 cm Ø 18 cm. Volume 10,2 liters. Size L: 1200 g, user between 1m70 and 1m84. Cover dimensions: L 40 cm Ø 19 cm. Volume 11,3 liters. Size XL: 1290 g, user between 1m85 and 2m. Cover dimensions: L 40 cm Ø 20 cm. Volume 12,6 liters. Volume and dimensions may vary depending on the compression applied to the product.
Ergonomic hood with drawstring. Anti-cold flap along the zippers to prevent heat loss. Double-slider zippers for optimal ventilation. Possibility to open the top of the sleeping bag thanks to the 2 side zippers.
We use 2 layers of wadding: - one of 60 gr/m2, 100% polyester - and one of 115 gr/m2, 100% polyester It has the advantage of retaining its heat even when wet.
Can be combined with all Forclaz MT500 sleeping bag models. Can be combined with older models from the 2017 "Ultralight" and 2018 "Light" ranges.
When trekking, a snag on a sleeping bag can happen! The good news is that it can be repaired to prevent the tear from getting bigger or the synthetic fibers from escaping. We recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8584596). And if you don't feel comfortable doing this, an iron-on patch application service is available in the workshop at your Decathlon store.
