Which wheels for fit 3 skates?
FIT3 skates are equipped with 70mm wheels. Skates in sizes 32/35 and 35/38 can be equipped with 76mm wheels, even light-up ones; these are available in stores and online.
What safety tips?
We recommend the full kit: helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Because ultimately, the body part you land on... it's a bit random.
How to extend the life of the wheels?
Depending on where they are placed on the skate, some wheels will wear out faster than others. Don't hesitate to swap their positions regularly. It's definitely time to change them when the wear reaches the first of the 7 visible circles on the inside of the wheel.
Do you want to repair or maintain the skates?
You can find wheels of various sizes (even light-up ones), brakes, and even compatible screws on our website and in your Decathlon workshop department. Everything is very easy to assemble. Rubber wheels and brakes: what are the advantages over plastic ones?
Unlike plastic, which slips but doesn't brake, rubber has good grip: it allows your child to skate without slipping when pushing, and to brake effectively. In addition, rubber wears out less quickly than plastic. Our Oxelo teams are committed to safety, regardless of the child's technical level. We have therefore chosen to equip all children's roller skates with rubber wheels and brakes, not PVC.
How do the fit 3 junior skates allow your child to roll and brake more efficiently?
The lighter composite frame makes learning easier: it provides good gliding comfort. The 70 mm 80A wheels and ABEC 3 bearings offer a good compromise between gliding sensations and maneuverability. And for braking, our skates are equipped with a classic rubber pad brake that you can install on your right or left foot. Replacement pads are available in store.
1 skate size = 4 sizes. how does this scalable system work?
The adjustment is done in 3 steps: 1. Open the lever. 2. Pull on the front of the shoe. 3. Close the lever. Thanks to this system, the roller skates will serve the child for more than one season. To ensure a child is comfortable in their roller skates, choose skates that fit their feet: avoid a product that is too heavy (not suited to their physical abilities) or too big (the foot slides inside the shoe, leading to poor posture and difficulty controlling their trajectory).
How comfortable are fit 3 children's skates?
Semi-soft slippers with foam reinforcements for more comfort. In ventilated mesh (a fabric that absorbs moisture well), this slipper keeps your feet drier for longer. Rollerblades easy to put on thanks to simple and effective tightening: a micrometric buckle on the top of the liner for better precision + a velcro at the level of the instep to secure the heel in the shoe. Elastic laces on sizes 29/32 and 32/35, classic laces on size 35/38.
