      Product information

An ideal skate for beginners and for progressing with its rigid shell providing good support and an optimal position for learning to skate.

Why a rigid skate for beginners and progress?

The high cuff (the upper plastic part also called "spoiler") was developed with one goal: to provide optimal foot support. And for (even more) support, the roller skates have 1 micrometric buckle, 1 strap and laces. This support really makes the difference in learning and progressing in roller skating. The foot is supported and the ankle is very mobile to tackle the asphalt and city obstacles (sidewalks, curbs, etc.). This support promotes good posture.

The double cutting system on the MF140 roller

The MF140 skates have the unique feature of offering a dual sizing option. The liner is designed to fit two sizes. The triple tightening system allows you to adjust the skate to each foot and guarantees comfort and support. Choose your usual size.

What is the difference between the FIT100 beginner model and the MF500 freeride model? (1/2)

This new skate in the Decathlon roller skating range has been designed for those who want to start and progress, with a specially designed fit to promote good posture and rapid progression. The FIT100 skate, on the other hand, has a more flexible boot for comfort on long, straight rides. The MF140 offers more support for exploring the city and its sidewalks, frequent changes of direction, and different types of terrain.

What is the difference between the FIT100 beginner model and the MF500 freeride model? (2/2)

The MF500 model is the evolution of the MF500 since it offers a similar boot structure with a more reactive aluminum plate when the skating level is finer and more advanced (introducing jumps, faster changes of direction and more technical braking).

Are these skates versatile or are they just for freeriding?

Versatile roller skates par excellence, they combine optimal gliding quality for beginners (76mm/80A wheels and ABEC 5 bearings to master your glide), and extreme maneuverability (short and resistant frame).

Which braking system for these freeride skates?

The complete brake, including the pad and brake support, can be fitted to either the right or left foot (supplied unassembled). The brake pad is available in your roller skate department (depending on the store) or online.

How can I extend the life of my skates?

To extend the life of your roller skates, after riding in water, dust, or sand, you can remove the wheels, dry them, and degrease the bearings with a dry cloth. Find our tips and tutorials on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/oxelo/videos

How to extend the life of the wheels?

It's common to swap roller skate wheels because wear isn't uniform, it tends to occur at an angle. The reason? We often skate with our skates tilted inward, whether for pushing, turning, or starting. To finish wearing down the rubber on your skates, swap your roller skate wheels (and do the swap in pairs).

What is the maximum weight supported by these MF140 rollers?

These adult skates meet the EN 13843 class A standard (adult roller skate standard). This standard applies to Roller Sports Equipment - In-line roller skates designed to support between 20 and 100 kg (body mass). This European standard defines safety requirements and specifications relating to test methods, marking and information provided by the manufacturer to reduce the risk of injury to which the user could be exposed.
