What else you need to know
The saucepan is suitable for all hobs (wood, gas, induction). The skillet has a retractable, locking handle. The saucepan has a patented folding handle that secures the lid during transport. The lid also serves as a strainer. The plates limit heat transfer.
What about the choice of materials?
We opted for 18/8 stainless steel for its strength, corrosion resistance, and food safety. To compensate for its low conductivity, a double aluminum base was added to better diffuse heat. The result: more heating efficiency and less gas consumption.
What type of coating was chosen?
Whitford's Xylan+ PTFE coating was chosen for its excellent non-stick performance, durability, and price. Being PFOA-free, it's suitable for cooking. Although durable, it's best to avoid using metal utensils to preserve this coating.
And what about cutlery and plates?
Polypropylene cutlery is lightweight and resistant to heat (100°C), shocks, and deformation. Perfect for hiking, it combines strength and practicality and is Bisphenol-A (BPA) free. However, be careful not to expose it directly to a flame to prevent it from melting.
What are the dimensions of the set?
- Saucepan: 1,6 L usable, 437g, Ø 18 cm x 9,5 cm - Frying pan: 0,5L usable, 358g, Ø 18 cm x 4,5cm - Soup plate: 0,4 L, 62g unit, Ø 17 cm - Mug: 0,20 L, 32g unit - Cutlery: 20g per set - Lid / strainer: 89g - Wooden trivet: 165g - Carrying case: 34g
Our design team tells you the story of the mh500 cookware:
From the start, we wanted to offer you a product that allows you to take everything with you to eat and cook outside, while remaining clean and practical in use. What's next? A lot of people are involved at every stage of the design, 3D models, tests with enthusiasts and beginners, a lot of emotions and in the end a product we are proud of: a "turnkey" cooking pot that is easy to transport and use so you can cook peacefully outdoors.
How are our products tested?
All our products undergo a series of laboratory and field tests to validate their qualities. This kitchen set has been tested for its non-stick properties, mechanical, thermal, and abrasion resistance...
A few words of gastronomy from our design team:
"Along with hiking, one of our passions is cooking. Even outdoors, you can cook lots of dishes other than pasta. And why not pick your own produce while hiking? Ultimately, cooking is easy, and that's what we wanted to achieve with this potluck: we wanted to make life easier for hikers. Food doesn't taste the same when you eat outside. We appreciate dishes differently."
What's in the cooking pot?
This kitchen set contains everything you need to cook for 2 people: - 1 measuring saucepan with 1 folding handle; - 1 frying pan with 1 folding and lockable handle; - 1 lid / colander; - 1 wooden trivet / cutting board; - 1 carrying case.
How to store the kitchen set?
To optimize space and reduce noise, store cutlery on the lid, then place mugs and plates in the pan. The trivet locks everything together, and the cover makes transporting it easy, even when dirty. And no need to be patient—it's all done in seconds!
And what do we find on the table?
This cooking set also contains everything you need to eat for 2: - 2 soup plates; - 2 mugs; - 2 sets of 3 clip-on cutlery (fork, spoon, knife).
How to clean the pot?
Before first use, rinse each part 1 times. After use, wash them in hot soapy water and dry them before storing. All parts are dishwasher safe. Hand washing the pan and saucepan helps preserve the coating. Avoid abrasive sponges and sand.
