          To take your measurements:

          • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.

              The fleece component's mission is to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture (and the brushed texture of the knit). This air keeps the body warm thanks to its insulating power. Tested in the laboratory, this fleece has a comfort temperature ranging from 10 to 13°C without an additional jacket.

              How is heat measured?

              This fleece jacket has been subjected to thermal tests on its fleece fabric and in a climatic chamber with a mannequin. These tests imitating mountain conditions help us to validate our design choices.

              Why a breathable fabric?

              Sweating while hiking is no surprise; it's almost inevitable. So, to prevent this fleece from turning into a sauna, its microgrid component allows for better wicking of perspiration from the back.

              What is the RET index?

              The breathability of a fabric is measured by its evaporative resistance (RET) (ISO 11092 standard): the lower it is, the more breathable the fabric. Examples: RET < 9 (very breathable), 9 < RET < 12 (breathable), RET > 20 (not very breathable). This fleece has a RET index of 4.
