Two city tire references are available in size 650:650A, for rims with a diameter of 590mm, 650B, for rims with a diameter of 584mm. Check this information carefully. These tires are not designed to be installed on rims of 26" traditional MTB, 559mm diameter.
How to measure tire wear?
To measure the wear of your city tires and thus know when to change them, you have to look at the condition of the tread. Among the signs of wear: - the tread that frays ,- a series of micro cracks,- the tread which tends to flatten- the carcass which appears. So many cases where the tire is worn and therefore needs to be changed.
How to demount a tire?
To remove your tyre, you must deflate the chamber until no more air comes out. You can then remove the tire from the rim using a tire lever.
How to mount a tire?
To remount a tire, lay one side of the tire into the rim tape. Once this is done, pre-inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before installing it in the tire (pre-inflation limits the risk of the inner tube being pinched). Then, install the second side of the tire in the rim, starting opposite the valve. Before fully inflating your tire, check that the inner tube is not trapped between the tire and the rim.
The advice of the pro
When inflating your tire, be sure to put the right pressure according to the terrain and, above all, the weather. If you ride in rainy weather, do not hesitate to reduce the tire pressure in order to increase its grip. on the other hand, if you ride in dry weather, you can increase this pressure.
