GUIDE TO SIZES MEN

To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
  • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.
    Measure the length between the wall and the object.

      1/ Your physiology (weight) and your body mass index (weight/height). 2/ Water: sea water offers more buoyancy (you weigh yourself down more) than fresh water. 3/ Your wetsuit: depending on the thickness of the neoprene, you float more or less. 4/ The weight of the tank (for scuba diving) and the volume of air contained: the more air you consume, the lighter your tank is and the more the buoyancy tends to become positive (you float!).
