GUIDE TO SIZES MEN

To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
  • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.
    Measure the length between the wall and the object.

      Secure your bicycle at the correct height, such as on a bicycle work stand. Using an Allen key or pedal wrench (ref: 8938257), remove your pedals. Note: for the left pedal, unscrew clockwise; for the right pedal, unscrew counterclockwise.

      Each pair includes a left pedal (marked with an L or a marker) and a right pedal (marked with an R or no marker). If in doubt, check the packaging. Apply grease (Ref: 8874174) to the pedal threads to prevent seizing. Use a pedal wrench (ref: 8938257) to tighten: Right Pedal (R): Tighten clockwise. Left Pedal (L): Tighten counterclockwise.

      Pedaling on the heel or the arch of the foot, which often causes pain and fatigue over time, should be avoided. For good comfort and pedaling efficiency, the foot should be positioned so that the small pad under the metatarsal is above the pedal axis. If necessary, toe clips can help maintain this position.
