And what about washing and maintenance?
Washing: Hand wash in lukewarm water or machine wash on a short, delicate cycle (30°), with a small amount of liquid detergent and a low spin cycle. Do not use powder detergent, fabric softener or bleach. Drying: Lay the garment out to air dry. Once completely dry, you can tumble dry it on a low heat setting with a short, cold/delicate cycle to revive the water repellency.

What does it mean in terms of waterproofing?
The pants are waterproof to 10 Schmerber thanks to their component, and their sealed seams. This garment has been validated in shower test, the fabric is resistant to 000 mm of water pressure after 10 washes. Our waterproof membrane does not like wild vegetation (branches, brambles, etc.), stay vigilant when passing through the forest! To improve your comfort, it has a drawstring to hold the waist well while running.
What about breathability?
It is extremely breathable (RET < 6) thanks to its membrane. To determine whether a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance RET is measured (test based on ISO 11092). The lower the resistance, the more the fabric allows water vapor generated by the body during activity to escape, therefore the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = not very breathable or non-breathable fabric.
To wear as a 1st layer or as a 2nd layer?
The design team developed these waterproof trail pants to protect you from the elements, wind, and rain. For optimal comfort, we recommend wearing the pants as a second layer; that is, over your bottoms (bib shorts, leggings, tights, skirt, skort, etc.).

Very light. I was able to use it while hiking. Closures much appreciated for cooling.
Lightweight I took an S it normally suits me I take M/L
I use it with leggings underneath during my Nordic walking outings. Am a light rain or a short downpour, I stayed dry. I haven't used it in heavy rain yet. I also had a knee-length windbreaker, which also protected my thighs from the rain.
