Our commitment to consuming less water with this product
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water, but it also releases wastewater from the dye baths. To reduce our environmental impact, we chose a solution-dyeing or "dope-dyed" method for the black model, integrating the color pigments during the yarn manufacturing process, which requires less water. The black MH500 pants use this new dyeing process, which we hope to replicate in other colors soon.
Product design: our know-how
Our global Quechua design center is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place between our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing your mountain hiking products, and bringing you all our expertise.
Sweat wicking test
The fabric's ability to wick away perspiration to dry quickly is measured according to several criteria: the fabric's absorption power, the fabric's ability to not saturate with sweat, the speed of drying, etc. Level 1/5 is suitable for low-intensity activities or those that do not generate a lot of sweat. All our hiking pants have a performance of 3/5.
Cut
These pants have a sporty, close-fitting cut that will give you perfect ease of movement, thanks to the use of a fully stretchy fabric in both directions (width and length). You'll completely forget about them! Finally, a tightening system at the bottom of the leg allows you to roll up the bottom of your pants if you get too hot. You can choose your usual size.
