What is water repellency and how can it be preserved?

The water repellency of a fabric is its ability to let water slide over its surface, without absorbing it. Thus the textile does not soak up water and remains light, breathable and warm. Water repellency is obtained by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend at each wash). Products (spray or liquid) are available for this purpose in our stores.

Am I sure my pants are warm enough for my winter hikes?

The inside of your pants is brushed, a process known for retaining heat. The principle is simple: the fabric's weave is structured to create volume, trapping air, which is a natural insulator. It's exactly the same principle as that of animal fur or feathers.

How do my trousers protect me from external conditions?

In winter, it's important to be protected from both moisture (snow, rain) and wind, as the latter significantly cools the body, whether you're active or at rest. We've designed your pants with a windproof and water-repellent outer fabric to withstand all winter conditions. We've also added a lace hook to keep snow out of your pants.

How should I dress well for snow hiking?

To dress well in winter, whatever your activity, we advise you to apply the 3-layer principle: layer 1: Technical underwear allows moisture transfer to keep the skin dry. layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth as well as moisture transfer. layer 3: The jacket protects from external conditions: rain, snow, wind. The whole must be breathable to wick away moisture.

Will my trousers hold up well over time with regular use?

To ensure the durability of our products, we conduct tests on the selected components: resistance to friction and abrasion, colorfastness, and resistance to repeated washing. All these tests were performed on the material used in your pants.

How does my product warranty work?

This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of sale indicated on the receipt. The product covered by the guarantee will be exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers defects in your product, excluding those resulting from normal wear and those resulting from an abnormal condition of use.
