Our Subea team has developed fins for advanced divers looking for fins that are very easy to put on, hard and with good propulsion.
At Subea, we've developed a "finning robot." This robot is a test bench that measures the fin's propulsion and the energy it requires from the diver. From this, we can deduce a fin's efficiency. We use this robot throughout the development of our products to correlate our sensations in use with a scientific measurement. Each fin prototype is tested until we obtain a product that meets our expectations.
Part of the fin where the foot is positioned. The foot pocket of the SCD 500 OH fin has been developed to fit the foot perfectly without creating any pressure points or discomfort during swimming. With the foot perfectly supported, there is no loss of energy linked to the movement of the foot in the foot pocket to optimize the transmission of energy developed by the legs during finning.
The flat part of the fin that contributes to its power. The blade of the SCD 500 OH fin is surprisingly flexible but provides remarkable power whatever the conditions. SUBEA developed this blade to provide maximum thrust (fin power) while maintaining a flexible blade to provide maximum comfort during kicking. Its central channel deforms to maximize thrust. The SCD 500 OH fin straps are made of natural rubber and polyamide. Elastic, they allow you to adjust your fins perfectly to your feet. Very easy to use, they will completely make classic fin straps with clip-on buckles obsolete. Size S: 36-39, elastic length 20 cm Size M: 40-43, length 22 cm Size L: 44-47, length 24 cm Sold with two "reducers" to adjust the strap to the ideal length for optimal comfort.
The lateral ribs, the position of the blade centered in the middle of these ribs as well as the lateral fins or end of the blade ensure very good fin stability, whatever the way of finning (classically, scissor or using the frog-kick/frog technique).
