Bicycle chain cleaner

We designed this chain cleaner to clean your chain quickly and efficiently. It adapts to all types of chains and bicycles.

How to use this product:

Press the push button on the lower compartment while pulling on the upper part with the other hand. Place the chain between the 2 parts of the cleaner then close them by fitting the upper part into the lower part. Install the hook on your derailleur hanger. Pour the degreaser through the hole on the upper part, respecting the recommended level (approximately 9 ml). Clean your chain by turning the pedals counterclockwise.

Operation and usage tips:

If the shape of the derailleur doesn't allow for full independent engagement, feel free to hold the housing with one hand and backpedal with the other: this will work just as well. For e-bikes that don't allow backpedaling, you can use a bottom bracket tool to make this function possible.

For optimal results:

Let it sit for a few minutes. Complete the degreasing process with a few pedal turns. Remove your chain cleaner. We recommend rinsing and drying your chain thoroughly before applying any lubricant. To ensure your chain cleaner works best, it's important to position your bike (on the ground or on a work stand) so that your chain is as horizontal as possible.

How much degreaser to use?

This chain cleaner has been designed to provide you with great efficiency while consuming much less product than its predecessor. In fact, the previous model required 45 ml while this one only needs 9 ml. You can therefore use our 500 ml can of plant-based degreaser to clean approximately 55 times (compared to around ten with the previous one).

Care tip:

After use, to maintain its effectiveness, remove the foam from the chain cleaner (located on the front part), rinse it with clean water, then wring it out. Rinse the wheels and compartments with clean water, let it dry, then wipe dry. From the first use, the foam will be marked by the passage of the chain, without this affecting its effectiveness. However, if you wish to replace it, a kit including a replacement foam is available. (Kit Ref: 8882442)

Pro tip:

Use plant-based bicycle chain degreaser for greater effectiveness. Renew your degreaser as soon as it turns black. Collect your used degreaser and take it to a recycling center.
