This is the reaction I had when I first saw the Caperlan Khaos 7000: wow! He is really handsome ! We immediately notice the care taken in the aesthetics then comes this feeling of security, we notice its robustness and the efficiency of the design of this high-end Caperlan piece. Finally I love it, because once in hand everything is confirmed and adds great fluidity and no play. Like all big cars it needs a big brake and the announced 19kg is largely achieved. When I go to sea with my Caperlan Khaos 7000 I am completely safe, reassured, I know that the pleasure will be total. To us the dentex, porgies, amberjacks and other liches! This is my third for a question of budget but still not convinced by the quality of the brake, it is powerful but deteriorates very quickly if you fish for trevally type fish and other exotic fish which are not necessarily very large. Another major problem for those who use braid is the design of the pick-up, at its base (winding of the wire) it contains a metal part which covers the wire recovery ring. Between the two, the braid during jig sessions can get caught and you lose all the outer thread, sometimes several times. It’s recurring and spoils the fun 🙂. This is really a defect to be corrected on this reel which remains very acceptable for its price.
