YOU ARE A BEGINNER SURFER

Your daughter is starting to surf in very small waves. She stays where she is on foot and accompanied. She wants to have fun in the waves, discover new sensations. While learning to surf, she will fall into waves that are not at all powerful. We have designed swimsuits adapted to the discovery of the wave and to the morphology of the little surfer to hold in small small waves.

MORPHOLOGY

This BALI two-piece swimsuit was designed to let all little surfers have fun and discover the waves. Its thin-strapped top provides good support in the waves. The swimsuit packs away easily thanks to a built-in pocket, allowing young surfers to take it everywhere.

GIRL'S SWIMWEAR SUIT

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers taking into account their growth, which is why we systematically associate a stature with the size, i.e. the size of the child, because age is not enough to guarantee the right size. Indeed, two 10-year-old girls can have totally different sizes, measurements, weights and morphologies. We also recommend a fitting in the cabin if possible.

Here is the link between age and height visible on the labels of our swimsuits: 4/5 years: from 105 to 114 cm 5/6 years: from 115 to 124 cm 7/8 years: from 125 to 132 cm 8/9 years: from 133 to 142 cm 10/11 years: from 143 to 150 cm 12/13 years: from 151 to 160 cm 14/15 years: from 161 to 169 cm

DRY CUTTING AND WET CUTTING

To ensure a perfect fit in the water, we have to adjust our swimsuits while they're still wet, as they stretch out of shape once you're in the water. We therefore advise you to choose the correct size. The swimsuit should fit snugly in the changing room; you should feel supported. The elastane in some of the materials used in our swimsuits softens and stretches in the water.

WAVE TEST

We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call on a panel of at least 12 surfers with different morphologies who will follow a test protocol in the pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is stirred by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing at sea, testing our swimsuits in real conditions.
