We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call on a panel of at least 12 surfers with different morphologies who will follow a test protocol in the pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is stirred by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing at sea, testing our swimsuits in real conditions.

You start surfing or you only surf a few times a year. You stay where you are, in very small waves or in the foam. You practice for the pleasure of being in the water and for the sensations it gives you. During your sessions, you often fall but in weak waves. Our design team has designed a wide range of jerseys suitable for occasional practice.

The environmental impacts of the product are calculated over its entire life cycle and using various indicators. An overall ABCDE score is created to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.). The TALOO two-piece swimsuit was designed for young beginner surfers. This swimsuit is a summer essential for having fun surfing. Its adjustable neck allows it to adapt to the surfer's body shape. The bottoms have a normal leg opening, with good support in the waves.

Based in Hendaye, in the southwest of France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surf and bodyboard brand. In our offices “feet in the water” we can design a swimsuit in one day, then test it directly at sea to check how well it holds up in the waves.

Tribord's surf products become OLAIAN, the new Decathlon brand dedicated to surfing, bodyboarding & skimboarding. Gradually, the markings of all our surf products will be replaced. This is why your product may possibly feature a different logo than the one shown in the product illustration image.

To ensure a perfect fit in the water, we are required to adjust our models while dry because once in the water, the swimsuits relax. We therefore advise you to choose the right size. The swimsuit must fit snugly on your body in the fitting room; you should feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers taking into account their growth, which is why we systematically associate a stature with the size, i.e. the size of the child, because age is not enough to guarantee the right size. Indeed, two 10-year-old girls can have totally different sizes, measurements, weights and morphologies. We also recommend a fitting in the cabin if possible.
