Surfing is one of your passion sports and you practice it regularly in warm waters. During the sessions, you paddle to the line up, doing the duck or the turtle, it all depends on whether you are on a shortboard or a longboard. You fall often and are used to being tossed about underwater. You want your swimsuit to stay in place with each of your movements and that it doesn't bother you when paddling.

Based in Hendaye, in the southwest of France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surf and bodyboard brand. In our offices “feet in the water” we can design a swimsuit in one day, then test it directly at sea to check how well it holds up in the waves.

The environmental impacts of the product are calculated over its entire life cycle and using various indicators. An overall ABCDE score is created to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.). The size or model does not suit you? would you like to make an exchange in your Decathlon store? No problem, just be careful not to cut the swimsuit tag in case you want to exchange it.

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers taking into account their growth, which is why we systematically associate a stature with the size, i.e. the size of the child, because age is not enough to guarantee the right size. Indeed, two 10-year-old girls can have totally different sizes, measurements, weights and morphologies. We also recommend a fitting in the cabin if possible.

To ensure a perfect fit in the water, we are required to adjust our models while dry because once in the water, the swimsuits relax. We therefore advise you to choose the right size. The swimsuit must fit snugly on your body in the fitting room; you should feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call on a panel of at least 12 surfers with different morphologies who will follow a test protocol in the pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is stirred by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing at sea, testing our swimsuits in real conditions.
