anti-uv
An anti-UV material, but what is it for? To protect your eyes from an invisible danger... UV rays. UV radiation is always present, in winter or in summer, in sunny or even overcast weather and it can be harmful for your eyes and their outline. To preserve your vision, the lenses of our sunglasses are made of polycarbonate mixed with "anti UV" material which protects you from the harmful rays of the sun (UVA and UVB).
Glare
Classification of tinted glasses according to the ISO 12312-1 standard:- Category 1: slightly tinted glass for attenuated sunlight.- Category 2: moderately tinted glass for average sunlight.- Category 3: dark glass for strong sunlight ( sea and mountain). Between 82% and 92% of visible light absorbed - Category 4: very dark glass, for exceptional sunlight (high mountains). Between 92% and 97% of visible light absorbed
Namely
Our lenses are made of polycarbonate, a material that is very resistant to shocks but whose major drawback is that it is sensitive to scratches. Be aware that even if your lenses are scratched, the UV protection does not decrease, the mirror effect is purely aesthetic. The same goes for the color of our sunglasses. Whether grey, brown or coloured… you can choose your glasses according to your preferences, you will be protected whatever the colour.
Don't throw away, let's repair!
Our glasses accompany you during your mountain hikes. Your lenses may become scratched over time. To facilitate repair, we provide you with polarized lenses (code 8655386) or not (code 8655382), which you can replace yourself, very quickly and simply. Don't throw away, let's repair!
Frames created from bio-based polymer
For the frame of these sunglasses, we use Rilsan Clear G850 Rnew, a polymer derived from castor oil. This biosourced material is a real asset in our developments and allows us to obtain a light and flexible frame.
Glasses frames that have less impact on the environment
To limit the environmental impact of our glasses, we can also act on the material. On the frames of these sunglasses, we limit the use of varnish and paint, everything is integrated directly into the mold of the product. This is still not enough, which is why we are working to make these sunglasses one day 100% eco-designed.
