      These UV-protective leggings are particularly suitable for surfing in warm water, for sessions of less than 1 hour.

      UV-resistant fabric

      The fabric used in this UV-protective product blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective sun protection. It can be used in and out of the water for water sports and activities. UV filtration is achieved through the density of the textile fibers, and this protection is long-lasting, even after washing. Please note that the elastane in the fibers may deteriorate in chlorinated water.

      What does UPF 50+ mean?

      UPF is a sun protection index (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) standardized and standardized worldwide. It defines the level of textile protection and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission. In order to meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB.

      Anti-chafing leggings

      These leggings limit friction with the board, in particular at the level of the knees when lying on the board and on the inside of the thighs when sitting on the board. We validated that irritation was well limited during 1 hour sessions.

      Belt and retaining cord

      The sheathing waistband allows the leggings to stay in position even when falling in the waves. The cord located at the front of the belt is designed to connect an anti-UV t-shirt and prevent it from riding up. We recommend the use of a top 500 anti-UV t-shirt (available in short sleeves, long sleeves and with hood) in addition to these leggings to be well protected.

      Thermality and wind

      The recommended minimum water temperature for the use of these anti-UV leggings is 22°C. The air temperature can influence this recommendation upwards or downwards. Our thermal models (over 2 hours) are made of fleece and neoprene. The presence of wind will have an impact that can be annoying as soon as the wind exceeds 15 km/h: In this case, choose a model with neoprene.

      Multi-Watersport UV Legging

      Our anti UV leggings are designed to meet the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, active sea walking (longe-coast) or SUP (stand-up paddle ).

      Behavior in the sun

      Although these leggings provide protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflection (on water, sand...), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account.
