Black anti-UV leggings

The fabric that makes up this OLAIAN anti-UV product blocks at least 98% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA rays (UPF 50+). This is the guarantee of effective protection against the sun. It can be used in and out of the water for the practice of water and aquatic sports. The UV filtration is generated by the density of the textile fibers, this protection is durable over time, even after washing.

UPF is a sun protection index (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) standardized and standardized worldwide. It defines the level of textile protection and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission. In order to meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB.

These leggings limit friction with the board, in particular at the level of the knees when lying on the board and on the inside of the thighs when sitting on the board. We validated that irritation was well limited during 2 hour sessions.

The sheathing waistband allows the leggings to stay in position even when falling in the waves. The cord located at the front of the belt is designed to connect an anti-UV t-shirt and prevent it from riding up. We recommend the use of a top 500 anti-UV t-shirt (available in short and long sleeves) in addition to these leggings to be well protected.

The recommended minimum water temperature for the use of these anti-UV leggings is 22°C. The air temperature can influence this recommendation upwards or downwards. Our thermal models (over 2 hours) are made of either fleece or neoprene, or both. The presence of wind will have an impact that can be annoying as soon as the wind exceeds 15 km/h: In this case, choose a model with neoprene.

Our anti UV leggings are designed to meet the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, active sea walking (longe-coast) or SUP (stand-up paddle ).

Because the child's defense system is put in place after the age of 3, the skin of children is very sensitive to the sun. At identical exposure, the effects of the sun are 2 to 3 times greater in a child than in an adult. It is therefore important to protect them effectively.

Although these leggings provide protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflection (on water, sand...), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing these leggings does not exempt you from following appropriate behavior: wearing an anti-UV t-shirt, wearing sunglasses, wearing a hat or cap, regularly applying suitable sunscreen, drinking regularly, etc.
