Lighting Modes

The FORCLAZ HL900 V3 headlamp offers 6 modes: - Fixed red to remain discreet in a refuge or preserve your night vision - Eco (30 lm) for map reading or use in bivouacs - Medium (80 lm) for walking on tracks or forest paths - Strong (350 lm) for hiking on rough trails - Boost (600 lm, 60 sec) to search for your way off-trail for 10 seconds before returning to 350 lm - Flash (Flashing) to signal your presence and a reserve of 1 hour at 25 lm

Battery Type

Removable 1mAh lithium-ion battery, rechargeable via USB-C cable. Compatible with external chargers and solar panels. The HL800 USB headlamp comes with an adapter for 900 AAA batteries (not included). This allows you to use batteries if you don't have a USB charger on hand or if you prefer batteries to a rechargeable battery. Please note: the battery adapter is IPX3 rated, not IPX4 rated.

optical beam

The FORCLAZ HL900 USB headlamp has 3 beams. A very wide red beam for discreet visibility while still being able to see at very close range (shelter). A wide beam with warm light for clear vision in front of you and to the sides at short and medium distances. A narrow beam with cold light for long-distance vision.

Lighting technology

Constant LED lighting: the lighting performance does not decrease when the battery is discharged.

One-piece construction for optimal compactness. ABS housing with adjustable angle and rubber protection against shocks

Headband

Removable and washable headband. Composition: 70% polyester and 30% natural rubber for maximum comfort. The two symmetrical adjustment buckles make tightening easier. The FORCLAZ HL900 USB headlamp adapts to all heads, from children to adults, as well as mountain helmets.

Storage

The FORCLAZ HL900 USB headlamp comes with a textile pouch to allow you to store your accessories. The pouch also functions as a light diffuser to illuminate more diffusely around you.

Impact resistance

This lamp has successfully passed the IK7 impact resistance test. IK stands for “Impact Protection” and the K comes from “Kinetic” to distinguish it from the IP rating (water resistance). The IK rating indicates protection against potentially harmful mechanical impacts on a product. IK07 means that the device is protected against mechanical impacts equivalent to an energy of 2 joules

Does your lamp get hot when in use?

Despite its compactness, this lamp is very powerful. Therefore, when using your lamp at high power, the light block (the front face) will heat up, this is completely normal. However, it is important to understand that our lamps need to be in motion to cool down thanks to heat dissipation. Therefore, a lamp used statically and/or in a confined environment will abnormally increase in temperature and you must therefore be careful not to use it at high power.
