Snorkeling safety

Snorkeling is a simple, fun activity for the whole family! Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than just swimming. IF you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and snorkel and get out of the water. Use of this product is not recommended if you have cardiovascular problems ( lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). Do not hesitate to consult your doctor in case of doubt

Soupape

During your freediving apnea trips, water can enter the snorkel due to immersion or splashes. The valve is a valve located at the bottom of the snorkel that facilitates the expulsion of water. Thanks to the valve, most of the water is expelled from the bottom and requires less exhalation effort (unlike a classic snorkel where the water is expelled from the top).

Use of the valve

Just blow gently to empty your snorkel through the valve. After blowing, be careful when you resume your inspiration, inhale slowly because residual water may remain in the snorkel. If in doubt, don't panic. Lift your head out of the water and the snorkel empties instantly through the valve. Intense swimming at high speeds is not recommended, as it can cause the valve to move and lead to water ingress.

Valve maintenance

It happens that sand or salt gets stuck between the valve and the hard part of the snorkel, this prevents the valve from laying correctly flat and it no longer performs its sealing role. It is then enough to rinse the tuba abundantly with clear water and to make sure that the valve rests, again, quite flat.

tip

Part of the snorkel that is placed in the mouth. Its specially studied shape makes it one of the most comfortable snorkels in the mouth.

Snorkel tube

The size and volume of the snorkel are adapted to adult breathing.

Deflector

The deflector is the part located at the top of the snorkel. Its curved shape creates a protection limiting the entry of water from the top of the snorkel.

Cutting

Size M is designed for thin faces and size L covers wide faces.

Silicone

Silicone is an extremely flexible material. A silicone skirt gently adapts to the contours of the face, thus promoting sealing. The silicone mouthpiece provides increased comfort in the mouth.

Tempered glass pane

Tempered glass is two to five times stronger than traditional glass. When broken, it shatters into small pieces which helps prevent major accidents.

Approval

Mask complies with safety requirements and according to European standards EN 16805: 2015. Certified by the INPP (National Institute for Professional Diving).

0% pvc

This mask and snorkel kit does not contain any PVC material.

Width: 21 cm. Height: 41 cm. Thickness: 8 cm.
