YOU ARE AN EXPERIENCED SURFER

Surfing is your passion sport and you practice it very regularly in warm waters. During the sessions, you paddle to the line up, doing the duck or the turtle, it all depends on whether you are on a shortboard or a longboard. You surf waves of more than one meter and you know how to do manoeuvres. You fall often and are used to being tossed about underwater. You want your swimsuit to stay in place with each of your movements and that it doesn't bother you when paddling.

MORPHOLOGY

We created the BAHA bra to allow young surfers to surf without worrying about losing their jersey in the waves. With its crossed back and wide elastic under the chest, the jersey has been designed to offer freedom of movement when paddling.

WAVE TEST

We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call on a panel of surfers with different morphologies who will follow a test protocol in the pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is stirred by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing at sea, testing our swimsuits in real conditions.

WHAT IS A HULL?

A cup is a piece of foam that is inserted into the swimsuit. To give our customers the freedom to decide whether to keep them on or remove them, all our cups are removable from the top of the swimsuits. It is up to each customer to add this cup or not. The sole purpose of these cups is to protect the modesty of young teenage girls. They allow them to hide the bits of the breasts when the swimsuit is wet. This is not a shape-enhancing pad.

GIRL'S SWIMWEAR SIZING:

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers taking into account their growth, which is why we systematically associate a stature with the size, i.e. the size of the child, because age is not enough to guarantee the right size. Indeed, two 10-year-old girls can have totally different sizes, measurements, weights and morphologies. We also recommend a fitting in the cabin if possible.

DRY CUTTING AND WET CUTTING

To ensure perfect fit in the water, we have to fit our models dry because once in the water, the swimsuits stretch. We therefore advise you to take the right size. The swimsuit must fit snugly on your body in the cabin, you must feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.
