YOU ARE A BEGINNER SURFER

You start surfing or only surf a few times a year, during your holidays or on a surf trip. You stay where you are, in very small waves or foam. You practice for the pleasure of being in the water and for the sensations it gives you. During your sessions, you fall often but you fall in weak waves. We have designed for you a wide range of swimsuits adapted to your occasional practice and your morphology

MORPHOLOGY

The LANA bikini top in textured material is a bralette shape for young beginner surfers, offering both coverage and well-exposed shoulders for paddling. It was designed for beginner surfers who do not need a lot of support in the waves. This shape allows the surfer to have completely exposed shoulders, which is ideal for paddling. This model is available from 8 years old to 15 years old.

WAVE TEST

We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call on a panel of at least 12 surfers with different morphologies who will follow a test protocol in the pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is stirred by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing at sea, testing our swimsuits in real conditions.

GIRL'S SWIMWEAR SUIT

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers taking into account their growth, which is why we systematically associate a stature with the size, i.e. the size of the child, because age is not enough to guarantee the right size. Indeed, two 10-year-old girls can have totally different sizes, measurements, weights and morphologies. We also recommend a fitting in the cabin if possible.

OUR GIRL'S SWIMWEAR SIZES

Here is the link between age and height visible on the labels of our swimsuits: 8/9 years: from 133 to 142 cm 10/11 years: from 143 to 150 cm 12/13 years: from 151 to 160 cm 14/15 years: from 161 to 169 cm This model is available from size 7/8 years.

DRY CUTTING AND WET CUTTING

To ensure perfect fit in the water, we have to fit our models dry because once in the water, the swimsuits stretch. We therefore advise you to take the right size. The swimsuit must fit snugly on your body in the cabin, you must feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

The size or model does not suit you? would you like to make an exchange in your Decathlon store? No problem, just be careful not to cut the swimsuit tag in case you want to exchange it.
