To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.

      This buoyancy aid vest was designed for students and instructors practicing dinghy/catamaran sailing and windsurfing.

      CO-DESIGNED WITH SAILING CLUBS

      It took 18 months to develop this buoyancy aid. We designed a 50 Newtons vest for sailing clubs, taking into account the constraints associated with intensive use and creating a lightweight, compact, and robust product. The French Sailing Federation (FFV) and three partner clubs shared their expertise to create a product suitable for everyone, from beginners to regatta sailors, including sailing instructors.

      CONSTRUCTION

      The vest's short cut and multiple polyethylene foam panels make it very lightweight, allowing for unrestricted use. The plastic buckles (located on each side of the vest) are designed to be replaceable if needed. The crotch strap (not present on the black vest) will allow all instructors and coaches to equip their sailing clubs.

      VHF PASSING

      On the left shoulder of the vest, we have integrated a loop for attaching the VHF. This option is useful for sailing instructors or when sailing on motorboats.

      TRAPEZE BELT AND HARNESS COMPATIBILITY

      This buoyancy vest is compatible with all trapeze belts and windsurfing harnesses on the market. The hook loop prevents the vest from riding up unexpectedly.

      MULTI SPORT

      A 50N life jacket must be used in dinghies, catamarans, stand-up paddleboards, windsurfing, and canoeing/kayaking. It can also be used in cruising sailboats up to 6 miles from the coast, provided it is worn while sailing (division 240).

      CHOOSE YOUR SIZE WELL

      The buoyancy of the vest is adapted to the user's weight. 30-40 kg 40-60 kg 60-80 kg 80-100 kg + 100 kg Below 30 kg, the standard requires the use of a life jacket (minimum 100N).
