GUIDE TO SIZES MEN

To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
  • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.

      Our cast iron discs are produced from at least 80% recycled cast iron

      Since 2018, our teams have gradually integrated recycled materials until they have achieved the best compromise. After several years of experimentation, Decathlon is replacing its entire range of cast iron products with recycled cast iron made from at least 80% scrap metal and steel waste—a feat in the metal world! To guarantee quality equivalent to conventional cast iron, tests are carried out in partner laboratories.

      What is the purpose of a rubber disc?

      Our rubber discs are easy to carry thanks to their ergonomic handle. This allows them to be used like dumbbells for even more exercise diversity! Equipped with a stainless steel ring in their center, they are easy to slip onto 28 mm bars. And of course, their rubber coating absorbs shocks and protects floors.

      On which bars can I attach a rubber disc?

      This rubber weight disc is compatible with 28 mm diameter bars. - 1,2 meter straight bar (ref: 8289897) - 1,2 meter curl bar (ref: 8484124) - 86 cm triceps bar (ref: 8484125) - 35 cm short bar (ref: 1041986) - 45 cm threaded bar (ref: 8766096) - 1,55 meter straight bar (ref: 8289896) - 2 meter straight bar (ref: 8289900) However, these weights are not compatible with weightlifting bars (which have a diameter of 50 mm)

      Using Your Rubber Weight Disc Safely

      Remember to use disc stops to secure your weight discs on your bar (ref: 8574652).

      Store your rubber discs to keep them for a long time

      To keep your weight plates as long as possible, store it in a dry place. Although covered with rubber, they fear humidity and risk rusting if you keep them in a humid place or outside. Dust them from time to time with a microfiber cloth, dry or damp. Then store them in the lower part of a piece of furniture, under a bed or on a wall support for records (ref: 8796727).

      These weights can be used with or without a barbell! Without a barbell: - Goblet squat with the weight: 3×15-20 reps - Lunges with one weight per hand: 3×10-15 reps Keep 2 reps of margin and take 1 minute 30 of recovery. With a barbell: - Barbell bench press (bench + rack): 4×8-12 reps Keep 2 reps of margin and take 1 minute 30 of recovery. Increase the number of repetitions over the sessions.
