              GUIDE TO SIZES KID

              To take your measurements:

              • Height: Stand against a wall, barefoot or in socks, heels against the wall.
                Stand up straight, then hold a book or flat object above your head.
                Block the book, mark the bottom edge of the book. Measure the distance from the floor to the mark.
              • Head: Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
              • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
              • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.
                Measure the length between the wall and the object.

              The stages of acquiring dynamic balance

              Before the age of 4, the child must learn to steer his body in a given direction, gradually refining this by moving both feet side by side. At 2 years old, a child can walk one foot in front of the other, alternating on a support with a minimum width of one and a half feet. At 4 years old, the child is able to walk one foot in front of the other, heel/toe, on a support with the minimum width of his foot.

              Psychomotor development:

              A child's psychomotor development is based on genetic, motor, and psychological foundations. A product can have an influence on a child's psychomotor development if it affects the motor domain. This motor domain has several major components: body schema, dynamic coordination, balance, eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and temporal and spatial structuring.

              Body image

              The body schema is the child's representation of his or her body, allowing him or her to have more refined control over his or her gestures, a perception of his or her body and, more generally, self-awareness. It is first constructed from sensations and actions ("felt body, acted body"), before being able to be represented and spoken about ("represented body", drawing of the stick figure).
