Buying advice
Have your child try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks they use for hiking. There are two comfort points to check: the heel cushion and the forefoot when walking downhill. Avoid any pressure points when trying them on. Gradually introduce them to the shoes during their first hikes to break them in. You can print the circumference online and check their foot length: https://pdfcoffee.com/pedimetreuepdf-pdf-free.html
Which size to choose?
When hiking, don't hesitate to choose a size larger than your child's usual shoe size. This will ensure optimal comfort on the descent and prevent their toes from hitting the end of the shoe. Tip: keep their nails short and, before any descent, check that the Velcro strap and/or the laces are properly tightened to prevent their feet from sliding towards the front of the shoe.
Sole grip
The grip of our soles is certified. To qualify, the shoe must pass laboratory tests to evaluate the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet). To approve these tests, we then have the quality of our soles assessed in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of child testers.

Waterproof test
Tested in the laboratory and in use, the shoes ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. First immersed in water under air pressure, the absence of bubbles on the surface of the shoe is checked. Then they are placed, half submerged, on a mechanical arm simulating walking, then the interior of the shoe is checked to ensure it remains perfectly dry. For this model, the test lasted the equivalent of 8 km under the conditions mentioned above.
Prolong waterproofing
The waterproofing of a shoe is often compromised by water intrusion through the top of the shoe. To keep your feet dry for longer, it is therefore advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will protect the top of the shoe from water ingress, but also from stones, sand, etc. It is advisable to use a re-waterproofing spray a few times a year to restore the original water repellency and combat outdoor stains.
Product Comments

very well
Sole that came off after 6 days of use
Great hiking shoes for children. Very good grip and waterproofing at the top, and yes a 4 year old child is ideal for testing all this because even if we tell him no he dips his feet in the river and then walks on wet rocks ;) Two small complaints though I had to make them they are a little stiff at the start at the ankle so a little advice put them on your children some time before the first hikes so that they can soften them a little otherwise possible a little pain in the ankles. And shoes perhaps a little heavy for small legs, in my opinion and not according to my son's feelings. To conclude, really very good hiking shoes to buy without hesitation to equip your children, even young ones.
