              To take your measurements:

              • Height: Stand against a wall, barefoot or in socks, heels against the wall.
                Stand up straight, then hold a book or flat object above your head.
                Block the book, mark the bottom edge of the book. Measure the distance from the floor to the mark.
              • Head: Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
              • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
              • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.
                Measure the length between the wall and the object.

              The Advance 500, a design story

              The story of this Advance 500 rugby shoe began three years ago. With the desire to offer expert rugby players a good shoe, comfortable, resistant with a lot of support, which meets the requirements of their level of practice. Our design team teamed up with ambassadors, Decathlon employees who are passionate about rugby, to imagine this shoe. After more than ten prototypes made, we are happy to offer you this versatile shoe

              Your comfort, our priority

              To design the Advance 500, we worked around a strong axis: your comfort. “With a scanner, we measured the feet of more than 700 rugby players, children and adults, from the Lille metropolitan area. We realized that the feet of rugby players are on average one size larger than the average European feet” explains Raphaël, product engineer at Offload. Plan one size more to leave room for the thick sock and that the foot swells during the match.

              This shoe which combines support and lightness and resistance

              The versatility of this shoe is visible at first glance. Its front part, flexible and soft, expresses its agility, its speed. Its rear part expresses its resistant side. It has been reinforced to give you a feeling of support. Its slipper reinforces this feeling of support and its rigid sole follows natural curves.

              Designed with a fine material, the Advance 500 offers you a second skin effect. As a result, you feel the ball more on touch. A touch of the ball reinforced by the honeycomb material on the front of the foot, which allows a feeling of grip on the ball at the time of the strike.
