Because we are aware that we must act to preserve our playground, Quechua is committed to limiting the environmental impact of its products. Today, this product is not eco-designed, but we work every day to make it more responsible: eco-design, repairability, and durability are at the heart of our developments.

Designed in our laboratories, we use a specific rubber formulation to optimize the grip and adhesion of this sole. We systematically seek the best compromise for evolving on soft ground (grip) as well as on dry ground (adhesion).

Laboratory tests are conducted to validate the following elements: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.

These shoes offer some breathability, but not enough to wick away all the moisture from your perspiration. Therefore, we recommend Hike 50 Mid socks: they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a terry construction that wicks moisture away from your foot. They're also high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. This is an excellent combination for limiting the appearance of blisters.

Our hiking shoes are designed for use on hiking trails. We select and test the sole and upper components of our shoes to best suit hiking on soft trails (such as dirt forest trails) or mineral trails (such as rocky coastal trails). Use on roads (asphalt) may accelerate the wear of your shoes and cause you discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.

Our nature hiking shoes have the singular promise of exacerbated comfort for its user; we have thus put in this shoe different ingredients to take care of your feet like the EVA insole (soft thermoplastic) as well as a heel pad in this same material. We have also made the insole removable for more hygiene (possibility of washing it).
