Caring for your leather shoes
After your hikes, we advise you to: - Leave to dry away from a heat source - On the very dry leather, brush vigorously with a stiff brush to remove mud and dirt - Use a crepe brush or nubuck eraser to remove stains - If the stains remain, clean with a brush and a little warm water - Leave to dry - Brush again with a stiff brush - Spray a waterproofer: this will give shine to the leather and liveliness to the color
Which material and which pair of socks is suitable for the nh500 shoe?
You need to manage moisture as best you can while you're running: sweating is often inevitable. The NH500 shoe is breathable, and it will wick away moisture from your perspiration. Therefore, you need to choose a lightweight and breathable sock. You'll want to choose the Hike 100 low or mid socks. They contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a terry construction that wicks moisture away from your foot. They're high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe.
Stress tests
Laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following elements: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.
Designed for hiking use
Our hiking shoes are designed for use on hiking trails. We select and test the sole and upper components of our shoes to best suit hiking on soft trails (such as dirt forest trails) or mineral trails (such as rocky coastal trails). Use on roads (asphalt) can accelerate the wear of your shoes and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.

grip outdoorcontact©
The grip of our soles is certified. To qualify, the shoe must pass laboratory tests to determine the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet). To validate these tests, we have the quality of our soles assessed in the field, while hiking, by a representative panel of testers over 500 km. The soles of these shoes have obtained a grip score of 5/5 and are certified OUTDOORCONTACT©.
