Grippy soles

Designed in our laboratories, we use a specific rubber formulation to optimize the grip and adhesion of this sole. We systematically seek the best compromise for evolving on soft ground (grip) as well as on dry ground (adhesion).

Measurement of impermeability

The NH150 WP shoes are waterproof for 2 hours of hiking. They have been tested for 2000 flexes in the laboratory. Once the shoes are dry, they regain their original waterproofness. During the waterproofing test, we test three levels of waterproofing: - 2000 flexes, approximately 2 hours of hiking - 4000 flexes, approximately 4 hours of hiking - 8000 flexes, approximately 8 hours of hiking

Which pair of socks are suitable for quechua nh150 waterproof shoes?

These shoes offer some breathability, but not enough to wick away all the moisture from your perspiration. Therefore, we recommend Hike 100 Mid socks: they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a terry construction that wicks moisture away from your foot. They're also high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. This is an excellent combination for limiting the appearance of blisters.

Extend the life of your shoes

We recommend using a re-waterproofing spray several times a year: this will restore the original water repellency and help prevent outdoor stains.

Designed for hiking use

Our hiking shoes are designed for use on hiking trails. We select and test the sole and upper components of our shoes to best suit hiking on soft trails (such as dirt forest trails) or mineral trails (such as rocky coastal trails). Use on roads (asphalt) can accelerate the wear of your shoes and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.

Waterproofing tests

Tested in the laboratory and in practice, shoes equipped with a membrane ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. First immersed in water under air pressure, the absence of bubbles on the surface of the shoe is checked. The shoes are then half-submerged and placed on a mechanical arm simulating walking to check that the inside of the shoe remains perfectly dry.

Stress tests

Laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following elements: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.

good shoes

The shoe stays dry on wet ground and in the rain. Take the size larger to be more comfortable while walking.
