Our environmental vision
Because we are aware that we must act to preserve our playground, Quechua is committed to limiting the environmental impact of its products. Today, this product is eco-designed because the environmental impact is improved by at least 10% compared to the previous model, thanks to the optimization of the components. We work every day to make it even more responsible: eco-design, repairability, and durability are at the heart of our developments.
Product design: our know-how
Our global Quechua design center is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place between our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing your mountain hiking products, and bringing you all our expertise.
Sole grip
The grip of our soles is certified. To qualify, the shoe must pass laboratory tests to evaluate the grip coefficient (0,6 for this model) on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet). To approve these tests, we then have the quality of our soles assessed in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of child testers.
Removable insole
Removable insole for faster drying. It can also be replaced by an orthopedic insole.
Buying advice
Have your child try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks they use for hiking. There are two comfort points to check: the heel cushion and the forefoot when walking downhill. Avoid any pressure points when trying them on. Gradually introduce them to the shoes during their first hikes to break them in. You can print the circumference online and check their foot length: https://pdfcoffee.com/pedimetreuepdf-pdf-free.html
Which size to choose
When hiking, don't hesitate to choose a size larger than your child's usual shoe size. This will ensure optimal comfort on the descent and prevent their toes from hitting the end of the shoe. Tip: keep their nails short and, before any descent, check that the Velcro strap and/or the laces are properly tightened to prevent their feet from sliding towards the front of the shoe.
Product Comments

unbeatable value for money
Good robustness
Usually I am never disappointed by Decathlon products, but here I bought these hiking shoes for my son, and after only 30 minutes of walking, first use, the front of the sole of the rubber shoe started to split. So this is clearly disappointed.
