Sole grip
The grip of our soles is certified. To benefit from this, the shoe must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip coefficient (0,6 for this model) on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet). To approve these tests, we then have the quality of our soles evaluated in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of child testers.
Which size to choose
For hiking, do not hesitate to take a size above your child's usual size. This will guarantee him optimal comfort on the descent and thus prevent his toes from hitting the stopper of the shoe. Advice: keep his nails short and, before any descent, check that the Velcro and/or the tightness of the laces are in place to prevent his foot from slipping towards the front of the shoe.
Buying Tips
Have your child try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks used for hiking. Two points of comfort need to be checked: the seat of the heel and the front of the foot when descending. Avoid all pressure points during the fitting. Make him gradually use the shoes during the first hikes to make them fit his feet. On the internet, you can print the perimeter and check his foot length: https://pdfcoffee.com/pedimetreuepdf-pdf-free.html
Removable insole
Removable insole for faster drying. It can also be replaced by an orthopedic insole.
Our environmental vision
Because we are aware that we must act to preserve our playground, Quechua is committed to limiting the environmental impact of its products. Today, this product is eco-designed because the environmental impact is improved by at least less 10% compared to the old model, thanks to the optimization of the components. We work every day to make it even more responsible: eco-design, repairability and durability are at the heart of our developments
Product design: our know-how
Our global Quechua design center is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place between our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing your mountain hiking products, and bringing you all our expertise.
Product Comments

unbeatable value for money
Good robustness
Usually I am never disappointed by Decathlon products, but here I bought these hiking shoes for my son, and after only 30 minutes of walking, first use, the front of the sole of the rubber shoe started to split. So this is clearly disappointed.
