GUIDE TO SIZES MEN

To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
  • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.
    Measure the length between the wall and the object.

      Why choose a specific shoe for athletic walking?

      To avoid walking in running shoes! Biomechanical studies conducted by Decathlon SportsLab with our technical partners have highlighted the specific needs of the foot in race walking: angle of attack with the ground, trajectory of the foot's pressure zones, and intensity of the propulsion phase. The choice of components, the geometry of the sole, and the shape of the upper allow our race walking shoes to perfectly meet these needs.

      We present to you the sole of a shoe specially designed for athletic walking:

      To support the typical outward-inward movement of the foot during athletic walking, the sole is rounded on the outside of the foot, with a pressure path from the heel to the toe. The geometry of the heel allows you a large angle of attack on the ground. And the Flex-H sole? On the front part of the sole, the 3 H-shaped flex notches give you more flexibility during propulsion.
