All our shoes are tested in the laboratory in a machine that gives a level of grip, rated between 0 and 1 (0= not at all grippy, 1 = very grippy). This simulates the movement we can have on a boat deck smooth and wet with salt water. It measures the ability of the shoe to hold on this surface until its stall point. The Sailing 100 model is rated 0.78/1, which represents a good level of grip on the sailing market.

adhesion; usage tests

The Sailing 100 model has been tested and validated by the Tribord sailing team throughout its design in calm to variable sailing conditions (chop, small swell, force 5 wind on average), in hot and sunny weather (on average a an outside temperature of 25°). These grip tests in use were carried out mainly on Figaro and Open 570, at different positions (helmsman, piano, trimmers, n°2).
